We Have An Important Announcement !!

Listen up Sisters!

I know you thought that we had fallen off the earth and were never going to post another thing in this blog, and we did actually contemplate that, but here we are.....back on the web where we belong....communicating with YOU.

And what we want to say is this: Sisters at the Well is starting up another year of scripture study. It's Book of Mormon time again, as the scripture wheel goes round and round. And the wheel has stopped at.......(drum roll please)..........The Final Chapters: 4th Nephi, Mormon, Ether, and Moroni.

Another year of Sisters at the Well! Yippee!

Well, glad to know you're excited. We are too. Should be a great year.....all that great stuff about the Brother of Jared (we know you know his real name),  and Mormon and his son Moroni's great farewell sermons where you can just feel them talking right to us, and all those kings serving out their time under house arrest and all those battles between brothers....

What's that you say? You hate battles?

Well, don't panic.  We promise we'll make those chapters painless. No memorizing of king charts or dwelling too long on the crazy soap operas of 3000 years ago. We'll just touch down long enough to glean what wisdom we need for the here and now.

So not to worry. Just start gathering your groups and planning your meeting times. This is our next to the last year.  That's right. Two more years and you will have stuck with us for 8......yes 8! years!! 

Then after 8 years, we get to stop. Now don't cry. You can start over if you want to. I bet if you went back to Exodus now it would all seem new. (Actually.....we're planning to redo Exodus. We asked an awful lot of you back then. )  

I think I'm finally getting this!

But if you have stuck with us for the whole ride you have reached the goal we were hoping for when we started all this. You have learned something about yourself ........that  Yes, You Can! study the scriptures!! (Wait....did I steal that line?)

So sharpen your pencils ladies. And start your engines. We are about to begin! (Sep 12 is the (latest possible) day the first lessons will be up at   www.sistersatthewell.org )
